files are the easiest to insert into PowerPoint and Flash, although mp3’s can also be saved and inserted.
If PowerPoint is used the sound must be saved in the same folder as the PowerPoint. Even once you
insert your sound; it needs to be in the same folder for your PowerPoint to
play.
A Google search for “public domain sounds”, or a search for a specific sound, such as, ocean sounds or jazz may turn up something interesting. Use some good words, such as, “public domain sounds”, “downloadable sounds”, “free sounds”, “free music”, etc., for searching for the best sound for your PowerPoint. Try the following sites to get a sound or do a Google search. http://www.publicdomain4u.com/ http://simplythebest.net/sounds/ http://www.partnersinrhyme.com/pir/PIRsfx.shtml Follow the directions at these sites to download a sound to your home directory. You will often right click and select “Save Target As” which will download sound to your directory. |
